Veteran Interview & Networking Event — Tuesday, October 6
10:00 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. | EmployNV Career Hub, 3405 S. Maryland Pkwy., Las Vegas, NV 89169
Don't let the name scare you off. EmployNV and Infinite Fidelis built this day around veterans, but the free registration page says every job seeker is welcome. The morning is a resume intensive and computer lab time; the afternoon is speed networking with employers who are actively hiring. Seating is limited, so register. Bring your resume, a laptop if you have one, and dress for an interview. This is a workshop and networking day, not a traditional job fair.
LUX Community Services Hiring Event — Wednesday, October 7
Sessions at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. | EmployNV Career Hub, 2827 Las Vegas Blvd. N., North Las Vegas, NV 89030
LUX Community Services is hiring personal care assistants at a posted $16 to $20 an hour. This one has rules. You must pre-register for one of two three-hour sessions, and the state's release says no late entry is permitted. Pick your session through EmployNV and be in the lobby early. Home care work suits people who are patient, reliable with a schedule, and comfortable helping clients with daily living tasks.
MasterCorp Hiring Event — Wednesday, October 7
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | EmployNV Career Hub, 3405 S. Maryland Pkwy., Las Vegas, NV 89169
Across town the same morning, MasterCorp is recruiting housekeepers and supervisors at a posted $15 to $20 an hour. In a town built on hotel rooms and vacation ownership, housekeeping experience travels well, and a supervisor title is a real step up. If you've cleaned rooms on the Strip or off it, bring that history front and center on your resume.
Career Fair & Resource Expo — Thursday, October 8
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. career fair, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. resource expo | West Las Vegas Library, 1861 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89106
The biggest event of the week. The state lists 16 employers for the career fair, including The Venetian Resort, Hilton Grand Vacations, Travel + Leisure Co., Valley Health System, LVMPD, Terrible's and the State of Nevada Division of Human Resources. The afternoon expo covers support services. Registration runs through Eventbrite and parking is free. See our full preview of the October 8 expo.
Radical Elevation Hiring Event — Friday, October 9
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Radical Elevation, 3551 E. Bonanza Rd., Suite 101, Las Vegas, NV 89110
Radical Elevation, an east-side mental and behavioral health clinic, is hiring behavioral health support providers at a posted $20 an hour, with part-time and full-time options. Walk-ins are welcome. The clinic says new hires get QMHA training in house at no cost, which makes this a real door into behavioral health for people without the credential yet. Bring a resume, ID, any certificates and references. Questions go to the clinic at (702) 608-1488.
