What a Dealertainer Actually Does

Earlier this year the Plaza teamed up with Vegas Live Casino Network to broadcast play from its smoke-free gaming room, and the property bills itself as the first in Las Vegas with its own dedicated YouTube channel for table games. The room was built to look good on camera, with bright backdrops and music cleared for streaming.

The new hires are the next layer. A dealertainer runs a real game for real players while keeping the broadcast lively for viewers at home. Plaza CEO Jonathan Jossel framed it as "upping the ante" on a stream that already shows players having fun at the tables. In practice that means dealers who talk, react and keep the energy up for a six-hour shift, not dealers who just pitch cards quietly.

🔥 Who the Plaza Is Looking For

The Plaza has said it is hiring primarily on personality. The hard requirements are short:

A current Nevada Gaming Control Board license
The ability to deal at least two of three games: blackjack, roulette and baccarat
Comfort on camera, since the audition itself is videotaped

The property also said it prefers people who are already active on social media and post regularly to their own accounts or channels. That is a preference, not a stated requirement.

⚠️ Read This Before You Drive Downtown

This job is not for brand-new dealers. If you have not finished dealer school and do not hold a Nevada gaming license yet, this casting call will not get you hired. Dealers who only know one game are also out under the two-of-three rule.

Pay is the other thing to understand going in. The Plaza is promising guaranteed daily tokes and has not published a base hourly wage. Ask how the tip guarantee works, and what the hourly rate is, before you accept anything.

The first casting call ran Friday, October 16, and Fox5 Las Vegas reported on October 24 that a second one is set for Thursday, October 29, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the smoke-free gaming room. The Plaza's own careers page does not list the casting call, so call the Plaza at (800) 634-6575 to confirm the date and time before you make the trip. Show up camera-ready with a printed resume.
